About the Book

3:00 a.m. is a genuinely inventive, twist-filled thriller by bestselling author Nick Pirog, the first book in his acclaimed Henry Bins series, now optioned by Sony Pictures for TV development. Henry Bins has Henry Bins, a rare sleeping disorder named after him. Due to his condition, Henry is awake for exactly one hour a day, waking at 3:00 a.m. and falling back asleep an hour later, before sleeping for the next twenty-three hours straight.

Life is simple this way, or at least it has been. Henry has learned to cram his entire existence into sixty precious minutes: two minutes to shower, three to eat, a few more to watch TV, all before his window of consciousness closes again. But everything changes the moment he hears a woman scream outside his window during his brief hour awake, and sees a man leaving the house across the street, a man Henry recognizes immediately as the President of the United States. Suddenly, Henry finds himself racing against his own extraordinarily limited time to investigate a possible murder, all while facing pressing questions about his own strange condition and the mother who abandoned him as a child. Written with genuine warmth, humor, and inventive pacing that mirrors Henry's own fragmented awareness of the world, the book launches a wildly original series that has been praised by readers as one of the most unique premises in contemporary thriller fiction.
