About the Authors
Bruce M. Koeppen, MD, PhD, received his MD from the University of Chicago and his PhD in physiology from the University of Illinois. He is the founding dean of the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, and has been honored by the Patient is U Foundation as well as with the Liaison Committee on Medical Education's 2019 Distinguished Service Award.
Bruce A. Stanton, PhD, is the Andrew C. Vail Professor of Microbiology, Immunology, and Physiology and Director of the Lung Biology Center at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He received the 2019 Unsung Hero Award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for his role in the development of Vertex modulators and his contribution to the creation of a Patient Registry that has significantly improved outcomes for people with cystic fibrosis.
