I May Be Wrong by Björn Natthiko Lindeblad is a Sunday Times bestselling memoir of wisdom, humility, and comfort from a former forest monk, offering timeless guidance for navigating uncertainty and finding peace of mind.

About the Book

I May Be Wrong: And Other Wisdoms From Life as a Forest Monk by Björn Natthiko Lindeblad is a Sunday Times bestselling book of comfort and timeless wisdom from former forest monk Björn Natthiko Lindeblad, drawing on his humbling journey toward navigating life's uncertainty. We like to think we can determine the path our life takes, but events rarely unfold the way we plan for or expect — and in this international bestseller, Lindeblad helps readers, with kindness and good humour, let go of the small stuff, accept the things they cannot control, manage difficult emotions, find stillness at busy times, and face themselves and others without judgment.

Lindeblad, a Swedish economist, gave up a promising career to spend seventeen years as a forest monk in Thailand, and the book shares what he learned during that time, structured around chapters often based on wisdom he picked up from his teachers, blending personal life experience with the parables and lessons of monastic training. Let me tell you what this book is not: it's not about religion, it's not about telling you how to live your life, and it's not about taking on a new set of beliefs. Plain and simple, it's about how to relate to your own thoughts and emotions in a way that makes life more enjoyable, freer, brighter, clearer, and wiser.

Björn was diagnosed with the incurable disease ALS in 2018, and in the book he shares, with warmth, humor, and depth, his own shortcomings, what life taught him, and what emerges as most important as everything moves toward its end. Written in close collaboration with his friends Caroline Bankler and Navid Modiri, and translated into English by Agnes Broomé, I May Be Wrong became an instant Sunday Times bestseller and a number one bestseller in Sweden, resonating with readers around the world for its gentle, humble, and deeply human wisdom.
